Have we become that self-absorbed?

I can be difficult.

I work for a company that expects me to create profit from what we do, which means that the people that work for me must perform. I’m required to provide quarterly reports that tell our company, and parent company, if we’re making or losing money. I’m absolutely brutal on subcontractors; if they don’t perform, slip loose the dogs of war. Subordinates can expect being asked very direct questions and insufficient answers will result in more questions. I often question EVERYTHING. Questions or variations thereof are repeated until I’m satisfied. Although not brutal, it can be uncomfortable or downright difficult. The truth, even if it’s something that I don’t want to hear, had better show up sooner rather than later.

As a result of playing ONE season of rugby in college, I have a protruding disc in my neck that has resulted in bone spurs. Most days are uncomfortable. On fewer days it hurts while it’s really painful probably four weeks a year. And the past two weeks have been painful.

Chiropractors seem to provide the best relief and, since I move often as a result of my job, I’ve visited numerous. The guy I’ve seen for the past two weeks is probably the best that’s treated me. Part of the treatment is what I call electro-shock therapy and is where they use electrical impulses to tense and relax muscles, which helps a lot. So today the chiropractor’s technician is attempting to get this piece of equipment to work but is having a difficult time because it REFUSES to work. But I’m patient and the youngster keeps apologizing because the equipment will NOT work. And I continue to be patient. The youngster finally announces that someone more experienced will be required to resolve the problem. My response is that it’s not a problem because everyone needs to learn to perform their jobs correctly. The youngster then announces that it’s nice to see that NICE people still exist.

Again, I’m not known for being nice to the people that work for me but I’m ALWAYS polite and understanding to the staffs of DOCTORS, DENTISTS and waitresses or waiters. I pay these people but they haven’t chosen me, I’ve chosen them. I can choose to go elsewhere. Just because they can’t perform a task perfectly and in an expedient manner the first time doesn’t mean I have the RIGHT to be RUDE. Obviously, other people do not think as I do.

Does anyone remember what Dr. Hannibal Lector said about rude people? Look it up.

Do you remember your first day on the job? Your first week? Month? Did your performance not leave something to be desired? That’s what I thought.

Don’t get me wrong, I expect professionals, like doctors, dentists and especially lawyers, to perform as advertised. But, I don’t always expect perfection from their staff.

If you’re rude to the receptionist, who’s the dentist’s wife, niece or daughter, you might be given an inadequate amount of Novocain in the first injection, repeatedly. Think about that.

Therefore, my question is ‘have we become so self-absorbed that we EXPECT perfection from EVERYONE?’

You tell me.

 

 

CUT OR UNCUT?

So Russell Crowe went on a rant on Twitter about circumcision wherein he also appears to have made some anti-Semitic remarks.

And?

I think that Mr. Crowe is an excellent actor. If I’m channel surfing and happen to come upon GLADIATOR, I’ll probably watch it. Again. I’ll also watch FARGO again if I run across it but that’s another story.

Regardless, knowing what I know now, if you had asked me, when I was a day or two old, if I wanted part of my johnson cut off I would have told you no. But I wasn’t given THAT choice.

Nor am I a Jew.

So what?

Mr. Crowe is against circumcision and he has the right to express that opinion.

Mr. Crow is probably a leftist since he’s a very well paid actor and musician. Yes, he’s a musician. How do I know that he’s a musician? My ex-wife drug me one of THIRTY ODD FOOT OF GRUNTS’ shows, which is Mr. Crowe’s band, group or whatever, in downtown SF back in the 90’s. They were okay and he was kinda cool. Again, so what?

If I had had any kids and a son in particular, I would have told my wife not to have him cut.

And does any of this mean anything? In my worthless opinion, no.

Back in earlier times, when circumcision was first implemented, created, done or whatever; it was for health reasons. People didn’t have SOAP or RUNNING WATER and no one wanted the end of their penes rotting off. So, parents decided to start removing the foreskins of their children immediately after they were born. Actually, in my worthless opinion, it was probably pretty smart to circumcise boys when they were only a day or two old.

Honestly, I don’t remember feeling anything.

Regardless, it’s a part of our culture; it’s tradition. It’s who we are.

What I’d really like to know is Mr. Crowe’s stance on abortion. If a baby’s foreskin is so sacred, is the life of the unborn also sacred? Is Mr. Crow willing to denounce abortion in a similar manner?

Another claim that’s being made is that Mr. Crowe’s remarks could be construed as anti-Semitic. Hmmm, really?

He made fun of yarmulkes and other things that could be considered Jewish but did he really say anything anti-Semitic? Did he say that Jews are evil and should be eradicated from the planet similar to the statements made by the islamo-fascists from Iran and Hamas? Nope, he did not. NOT THAT I COULD FIND.

Do I think that his remarks were insensitive? Absolutely. So what? Get over yourself and stop being such a wussy.

I have Jewish friends and even cohabitated and fornicated with a nice Jewish girl, out of wedlock I might add, when I was younger. I will protect the Jewish people with my life should we ever be subjected to an environment similar to that encountered in Germany during WWII. But then I would do that for any group of human beings. Yes, I would protect Muslims if another group of people were attempting to exterminate them just because they were Muslims. And I would be willing to wager that Mr. Crowe would too – for any group of people, including Jews.

Again, SO WHAT? QE2 is about to end, we’re about to enter high rates of inflation and possibly hyper-inflation, what will you or Mr. Crowe do when shelves in your grocery store are empty? The dollar will soon NOT be the world’s reserve currency, what will you or Mr. Crowe do when the dollar is worthless?

Our politicians lie about EVERYTHING without consequence, what are we or Mr. Crowe doing about it?

The main stream media allows our politicians to lie about EVERYTHING, what are we or Mr. Crowe doing about it?

Nothing.

Wake up, it’s all a distraction.

Did you understand the comments about hyper-inflation made previously in this piece? Then you aren’t paying attention and you won’t survive.

This is tragic. How is it that grown Americans have been taught that they can bastardize the Constitution for their own purposes?

 

His POINT ONE:

Assault on 1st & 14th Amendments: Using “God’s” will to prevent LGBT from having the equal right to marry.

First, let’s do something unique and see what the Constitution actually says:

THE FIRST AMENDMENT:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

THE FOURTEENTH AMENDMENT:

[for his purposes, I’m pretty sure that he’s referring to Section 1 of the 14th:]

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

As a Conservative, I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU DO IN YOUR BEDROOM. Your failure to understand that we will all answer to a higher power is, well, your problem. YOUR view of morality is different than mine. HAVE AT IT. Two or three guys or girls at a time, whatever floats your boat, go for it. Just remember that whenever you bring in livestock, you’ll probably have to deal with PETA.

Now, where in either of these amendments is it stated that people of the same sex have the right to marry? His quoting of the FIRST probably has to do with

But I challenge HIM or anyone to give me a link to a US law where a religion has been established. Further, I challenge you and HIM to read the book The 5000 Year Leap.

As for the 14th Amendment, in the immortal words of Ann Coulter: “it’s not a civil right – you’re not black.” What I really think she should have said was “you weren’t a slave” because the 14th was written to insure that the States couldn’t deny citizenship to freed slaves.

 

His POINT TWO:

Assault on 8th and 13th Amendments: Forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy against her will.

First, the 8th:

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

And the 13th:

[for his purposes, I’m pretty sure that he’s referring to Section 1 of the 13th:]

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

So getting knocked up and carrying a pregnancy to term is “cruel and unusual punishment” and “involuntary servitude”? Can you believe this pabulum? What about personal responsibility? How about 1) CHOOSING to keep your legs together or 2) CHOOSING to go on/take birth control? Please tell me, in what state in the US is abortion is not legal? Is Roe v Wade not still the law of the land? What about the GENOCIDE that’s occurring to the Left’s base? When Blacks figure out that you’ve convinced them to murder their progeny, the DEMON-CAT party is dead.

 

His POINT THREE:

Assault on Article 1, Section 8 (1st sentence) and 5th Amendment: Allowing health insurance companies to decide who lives or dies.

First, Article 1, Section 8, first sentence:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

And the FIFTH:

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

HUH? Can anyone decipher HIS gibberish? Did not almost all Republicans, which shouldn’t be confused with Conservatives, vote against OBAMACARE and its DEATH PANELS?

 

His POINT FOUR:

Assault on 4th Amendment: Warrantless wiretapping.

First, the Fourth says:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Unless I’m mistaken, and I doubt that I am, this is the wiretapping of communications between those in the US and people outside our borders; those who are drug dealers or terrorists. Poor baby, is your butt buddy a terrorist in Yemen or a drug kingpin in Columbia? Operation Able Danger identified Atta a year before 9/11 but the CIA and the FBI wouldn’t prosecute the mined intelligence. If the Brooklyn Cell had been investigated, 9/11 might have been averted. I agree, this type of infringement on communications between AMERICAN CITIZENS in AMERICA could creep into a 1984 scenario but I’m most afraid when you DEMON-CATS are in power. Regardless, this is about communications between those in and outside the US.

 

His POINT FIVE:

Assault on 1st Amendment: Establishment of “Free Speech” zones.

The First Amendment is quoted verbatim above if you need it.

Really? And this or this bothers you?

I work on a major airport project and we can’t stand outside our office when the O arrives. Why is that? Is he afraid that I’m going to fire off the one-finger salute? Congress has been controlled since 2006 by DEMON-CATS, why hasn’t this been revoked? If your savior, the O, the alleged President, were attacked outside my office, I’d pick up the weapon of a fallen Secret Service agent and defend him. But I can’t stand there and watch him drive by?

 

Why aren’t you worried about the 10th Amendment? Where within Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, is it spelled out that that the Federal Government can dictate any of the things you’re worried about? Marriage and abortion are STATES’ RIGHTS issues. Same sex marriages are legal in several states – MOVE TO ONE. That’s the beauty of the Constitution, if you don’t like the laws of one, move to another.

 

I lived 7.5 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, which has some awesome competitive action pistol shooting clubs, and when the opportunity arose, I took a twenty percent cut in pay to move out of Californication because I couldn’t stand living around douchetards like this. You people just don’t get it. You think that the world revolves around what you do with your d!ck or tw@t. It doesn’t. Grow up.

Immigration Reform 2.0

I’ve heard it stated that there are anywhere from ten to twenty MILLION illegal Mexicans here in the US and #libtards want to give them amnesty similar to 1986. Yes, Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Edwin Meese opines here that Reagan would not make a similar mistake today for the reasons stated therein. I agree.

We are at war. Not with the Mexican people but with the narco-terrorists transporting drugs and OTM’s or those referred to as “other than Mexicans” across the border. We would be very lucky if these narco-terrorists aren’t already staging in San Diego, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Midland, San Antonio and other major cities close to the border. To these narco-terrorists money is no object, they already have more than they need or want. What they want now is power. How difficult would it be for these narco-terrorists to purchase 20 homes in Las Vegas, where the real estate market is in the toilet, and stock them to the rafters with drugs, money, arms and explosives arming an insurgency? Oh, and for you anti-gun #libtards, I can assure you that their firearms weren’t purchased legally. They like the automatic type that is extremely difficult to purchase and highly regulated here in the US. They’ll purchase these homes with the next best thing to cash, a wire transfer. They’ll pay property taxes, obey our laws and bide their time to strike. When they do, you #libtards had better hope that the 200 million gun owners in this country aren’t too lazy to get off their dead asses to swarm the border because we’re going to need every red blooded American on the front line. Or we’ll lose the southwest quadrant, including southern California, of this great country.

Regardless, my version of Immigration Reform 2.0 is:

  1. Secure the border. Let contracts to multiple competent contractors within 60 days to complete a fence across the Mexican-US border within 180 days of the contracts’ award. Stipulate lucrative bonuses for the contractors that complete their work on time or ahead of schedule and severe liquidated damages for those that don’t. Securing the border and ramping up the Border Patrol and ICE will keep out the majority of the narco-terrorists.
  2. If you’re an illegal Mexican here in the US, you’re in but it won’t be as easy as 1986.
  3. If you’ve broken the law in your time here, you’re in handcuffs, on a bus and you’re out – deported. Your crossing the border illegally was the only free pass you’ll get.
  4. You have 90 days to register for temporary resident status. Period. If you don’t register, you’re out – deported.
  5. That temporary resident status gives you 12 months to apply for a Green Card or permanent resident status that is valid for five (5) years. Failure to apply for and obtain permanent resident status will result in, you guessed it, deportation.
  6. Within those six years and three months you need to apply for and obtain Citizenship. Period. Failure to do any of the above and it’s a pair of chrome bracelets and a bus ride back to the mother land.
  7. Being convicted of a crime, any crime other than a minor traffic violation, within those 75 months results in a free ride back to, you guessed it again, the mother land.
  8. You will get a real job, not one that pays cash.
  9. You will pay taxes just like the rest of us. To pay for securing the border and the increased demands on Federal and State governments you will incur a 10 percent surcharge tax – that’s the price for coming here illegally in the first place. Only once you obtain Citizenship will you have the right to the pursuit of happiness and that pesky 10 percent surcharge is done, over, finished. Until then it won’t be easy and you’d better be prepared to work your ass off.
  10. You will not pay into Social Security nor will you or any of your relatives ever receive a penny of Social Security. Most of us pay into Social Security for 50 years before we collect a dime. Why would we allow you Citizenship at say the age of 55, 60 or 65 and allow you to be a drain on the system for possibly 20 or 30 years?
  11. You will not pay unemployment insurance because unemployment will not be paid to you. Most of us never collect a penny of unemployment but those that do are a huge drain on the individual states. You will not be allowed to get into a continuous cycle of working then going onto unemployment for the maximum time allowed then going back to work. We’ve seen too many people sucking the public teat dry and you will not be part of it.
  12. You are not, nor will you ever be, eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, housing assistance, food stamps or government assistance of any kind – for your entire time here in America.
  13. You will pay for your own medical costs. If your mother is dying of cancer you can pay for it yourself or you send her back to the mother land for treatment.
  14. You will learn to speak our version of the English language and assimilate into American culture. We like Taco Bell, its fast food, cheap and easy, if you’re offended please return to the mother land. If you think you can do better, please give it a shot.
  15. You are welcome to start your own business and become rich, just do it legally.
  16. We are America, the melting pot of the world. Millions have come here before you and have obtained the Holy Grail – American Citizenship. If you want to become an American, you are welcome here. If you want to work, pay your own way and make your mark on this planet legally, you are welcome here. America is the world’s greatest experiment in freedom, join us. Become one of us and learn that hard work results in immeasurable rewards – your progeny will thank you long after you’re gone.
  17. If you can’t abide by any of the above, pack your one bag and start walking south, your ass isn’t welcome here.

You’re thinking “Burnt, you’re a hard core Constitutional Conservative, how can you be willing to allow people that have broken our laws Citizenship?” I can trace the entrance of my family, on my paternal side, into this great Republic back to 1865. Did we do it legally? I don’t have a clue. I do know that yours truly, my parents, my grandparents and great grandparents have lived in this great Republic legally and have earned our/their way. None of us were ever rich and I doubt that there will be any books written about us. But that’s what makes us great, we are the dream come true, America.

Most of Conservative America would think that the stipulations that I’ve written above are reasonable but the #libtards won’t. We, the Red States, control this country whether the Blue States want to acknowledge it or not. This issue is ours to decide in 2011, let’s find the best way to solve the problem. What will it cost us to deport 10 or 20 million Mexican illegals? I don’t even want to try to wrap my head around that one. Yes, we as a country have done it in the past. Do we have the testicular fortitude to do it again? I doubt it.

I live in the southwest US, a family bought a burned out shell of a house down the street and turned it into something livable. Now it looks better than some of the other homes on the street. He doesn’t speak much English but works seven days a week. They’re quiet, keep to themselves and are nice; in my estimation they’re trying to live the American dream. How can we, as God fearing Americans, tell these hard working honest people that they must return to the cesspool known as Mexico if they’re willing to do what I’ve proposed above?

#libtards on Twitter just love to bring up the past – George W Bush did “this” and Ronald Reagan did “that”. It’s surprising that they know history. What you #libtards don’t understand is that we don’t care. And you’ll ask: Burnt, how can you say that? Reagan started out great by slashing taxes but then allowed the DEMON-CAT controlled Congress to coerce him into raising them. Yes, ending the Cold War is by far Reagan’s greatest accomplishment – this I do care about. GWB started out great by taking the war to the Jihadists instead of letting them bring it to America – this I do care about. But Medicare Part D and TARP were huge blunders that simply grew government. And government is the antithesis to freedom and liberty. What former presidents did is irrelevant today in the debate on whether or not we should become a nanny state growing into a limitless government that destroys this great Republic.

Republicans and Democrats on July 29, 2010 took steps to force the trial of Charlie Rangel in the House on ethics charges. Hasn’t he been under investigation for two years? Did he or did he not lie on his taxes? That’s a simple question and it’s easy to answer. Does his 1040 state that he earned income from his rental property in the Dominican Republic or not? He owns it, he rents it, and did he declare the income on his 1040? It’s quite obvious to me that they, the DEMON-CAT controlled Congress, wouldn’t be making the accusation if he reported the income correctly. It’s so blatant and so arrogant that you can’t ignore it. And that’s just one of thirteen charges. If you or I were to lie on our taxes, would the IRS be so far up our arses that they’d be tickling our tonsils? You betcha. Where is the Infernal Revenue Service? Why isn’t the IRS prosecuting this blatant, arrogant failure to report income? Mr. Rangel is using campaign contributions to finance his legal defense fund, is this money considered income? Why not? Is it because the man is a member of what appears to be America’s new Ruling Class or a man of color? Why does it appear that this man is held to a different standard than you and I? This is what Conservatives care about.

Where is Attorney General Eric Holder? Didn’t he state that America is a “nation of cowards” when discussing race? Is Mr. Holder again using his office to practice reverse discrimination? Did you forget already that his policies prohibited the prosecution of blacks in voter intimidation cases? Voter intimidation and violations of the Voters’ Rights Act, regardless of the race of the perpetrator, should be vigorously prosecuted but Mr. Holder, the man in charge, dropped the charges after the defendants, the Black Panthers, failed to appear and were found guilty of the charges. Yes, he dropped the charges after they were found guilty. We are a nation ruled by laws, not by men. Where is the rule of law? This is what Conservatives care about.

Barack Hussein Obama is the first black President of the United States and I did not vote for him, I held my nose and voted for John McCain. Would I vote for a black man? Yes, if the man were of the conservative ilk of a Walter E. Williams or Thomas Sowell. So, if you want to call me racist, which is the standard #libtard tactic, have at it. I know differently. Regardless, BO has stated that he wants to fundamentally transform America. What does that mean, exactly? 18 months into his administration it should be quite clear that his goal is power, absolute power. His advisors are communists, Maoists and subscribers to the Cloward and Piven Strategy, which overloads the economy with welfare and unemployment claims. More people today are paid by the government than by private industry and unemployment is now paid for almost two years. Think about that, a two year vacation at the expense of those that work. Where is the motivation to find a job? But Burnt, what about those people that can’t find a job, how will they live? Believe it or not, I am empathetic to their plight. The problem is that these people aren’t pissed off; they aren’t standing in their non-representing representatives’ offices screaming bloody murder about the fact that business is frightened of this administration that is blatantly doing everything it can to destroy the U.S. Constitution. This is what Conservatives care about.

BO has taken over the health care industry even though the majority of the people of this nation were against it before they were able to read the bill. Yes, there are less than 10 million Americans without health insurance – let’s fix that problem. Why would any of us want to give the FED GOV license to regulate our health care further when we already pay for the services we receive? If I were 22, just out of college and in good health, why should I be forced to buy health insurance if I don’t want it? Would you be so kind as to point out to me where in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution it states that FED GOV can force #HCR down my throat? I know that this is getting repetitive, but, this is what Conservatives care about.

Bailout money was paid to foreign banks, why?

TARP gave the UAW 15% control of GM and 55% control of Chrysler and BO used TARP to restructure automobile dealerships across the country, why? Were they really too big to fail? Delta Airlines went into bankruptcy court, came out stronger, merged with Northwest Airlines and has proven to be one of the dominant airlines of the U.S. if not the world. I have flown over 300,000 miles on Delta and fly with them exclusively because they take care of me. Are they perfect? No. But, it’s how they fix a screw-up that earns my business. Was either GM or Chrysler too big to fail? I don’t think so. Oh, don’t forget that TARP was supposed to be used to save banks too big to fail, not automobile manufacturers. Again, where is the Rule of Law?

Do you know of anyone whose job was created or allegedly saved by the Stimulus Package? What’s the true cost of the Stimulus Package?

BO, who probably hasn’t read the 12 page bill, sued the State of Arizona partially overturning SB 1070 – a bill the mirrors federal immigration law. Has BO stepped up to enforce federal immigration law? The 1,200 National Guard troops will assist with intelligence and surveillance, not enforcement. You can see what illegal’s undocumented future DEMON-CAT voters think of our country upon entering here. Why isn’t the FED GOV doing its job and closing the border? Because BO is holding the border hostage in order to get his comprehensive immigration reform package through Congress.

Whatever former Republican presidents did is irrelevant in today’s debate about returning this Republic to the constitutional principles on which it was established. This is what Conservatives care about.

 

EVIL GREEDY CORPORATIONS

I got into a debate with someone that will remain nameless, @loriguffey, over the weekend on Twitter about EVIL GREEDY CORPORATIONS in general, health insurance companies in particular. The pervasive #libtard belief is that Corporations’ profits are obscene because they make gazillions of dollars at our expense.

Agreed, corporations do make gazillions of dollars in profit. At our expense, I don’t think so. These corporations manufacture and produce products and services we want. If we didn’t want their products or services, we wouldn’t buy them. If you think the prices are too high at Pottery Barn, you’ll shop at Wal-Mart and Target. If you think a particular corporation’s prices are too high then I challenge you to start your own business and try to compete with them. I think you’ll soon learn that they earn every penny of profit by being smart, wise and innovative. Does BP’s CEO Tony Hayward earn an obscene amount of money? In my opinion, yes; but, I bet that BP’s stock holders and board members think differently because 2009 was a good year at BP. Am I defending BP’s failure in bringing in the well successfully and the subsequent disaster? Absolutely not, I grew up in south Louisiana and have family that still lives there.

Some industries are subsidized with your tax dollars. In my opinion, if these industries can’t produce a profit without being subsidized, with our tax dollars, then they should fail. Period. That includes the panacea of alleged green jobs which are not viable in a free market.

Corporations that are traded on the stock market are greedy because they need to make money. A stock’s price to earnings ratio is an indicator for investors in determining a stock’s potential. Share holders or investors want greedy corporations to make money because the investors are then paid dividends and dividends are often used to buy more of the stock. When corporations make money, confidence in the stock rises and so does the price. When the stock’s price goes up, some investors will sell the stock at the increased price and take the profits they’ve earned and reinvest in other stocks, pay taxes on the profits made and sometimes take their money out of the market to buy goods and services. Sometimes, when as stock’s price has probably reached its maximum, the stock will split 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 resulting in stock holders owning more shares at reduced price; then, when that stock’s price increases, the stock holder’s portfolio increases in value. All of these things help investors make money, increasing the value of their portfolios in preparation for retirement. Do you think that everyone is counting on being able to live on Social Security?

Evil greedy corporations serve the purposes of producing and supplying goods and services and give savvy investors the opportunity to make money, which is something most of us want or need. Personally, I’m glad that I work for a greedy corporation; because of its greed, I have a job that I love that pays me an excellent salary. The guy that controls the corporation is a complete asshole but is a man with a heart of gold. He’s one of the toughest guys in the industry to work for but cares deeply about the people he employs and to explain it would require a blog piece of its own. Except for the heads of corporations that think they’re the Elite Ruling Class of this great country, corporations are good.
